Job Description: Sr. Supply Chain Analyst

Due to our continuous growth, we are recruiting a Sr. Supply Chain Analyst that will be actively involved in the areas of demand planning, logistics, inventory management and replenishment.
We are looking for a versatile and self-motivated individual with broad supply chain experience acquired at Food & CPG Companies that service large Canadian & US retailers.
This brand-new role requires a superb team player with outstanding people and communication skills that enjoys interacting daily with several areas within our organization as well as external business partners.
Lead the Company-wide demand forecasting process and cross collaborate with Sales-Procurement- Production and Finance to create a non-biased customer demand forecast that incorporates current and future market and category trends. Institute a Sales & Operating process to accurately forecast demand using both internal and customer data. This role will empower the Supply Chain team with accurate fact-based data needed to procure, produce, and consistently meet customer and consumer demand. Forward forecasting will be the foundation of our financial planning and monthly variance analysis.
Manage the operational relationships with our Third-Party Logistics (3PL) for transportation and distribution/warehousing. The role will ensure that adequate levels of inventory are always kept ensuring high levels of OTIF while servicing our customers located in Western Canada. This role will also participate in special projects aimed at cost reduction and continuous improvement.
Ensure that the optimal levels of all types of inventories are maintained at all locations on a consistent basis with the goals of ensuring high customer service level while minimizing investment in working capital. Work closely with all key players within Supply Chain to establish minimum and maximum levels of inventory on hand. Leverage customer’s information systems [ie: WM-Retail Link & Sobey’s-IRI] to proactively monitor their inventory levels and analyze customer’s order patterns to identify mutually beneficial optimization opportunities.
Lead replenishment of a significant portfolio of key finished goods. Establish strong working relationships with key vendor partners, customers, and other areas of the Organization to consistently achieve customers’ OTIF expectations. This function will understand key trends and seasonal variances and incorporate confirmed future requirements to determine replenishment and purchasing requirements.
What we are looking for:
Qualifications & Key skills
The new Sr. Supply Chain Analyst must have prior 3-5 years minimum experience in Supply Chain roles acquired at leading CPG and/or food manufacturing organizations
- Completed Bachelor’s degree- ideally with specialization in Supply Chain
- CPFR Experience with Loblaw / Wal-Mart and/or other large retailers is an asset
- Knowledge of principles of demand planning, inventory management, logistics and replenishment/procurement
- Quantitative and analytical skills- ability to analyze ambiguous data- determine key information elements- develop optimal plans- and recommend & execute action plans that weigh risks and benefits
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively, generate ideas, build consensus, and execute efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic entrepreneurial environment
§ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with business partners and team
§ Superb sense of urgency, attention to detail, organizational & analytical skills
§ Technology-savvy individual with excellent MS Excel Word and PowerPoint skills
§ Well versed in Business Intelligence [Excel Power BI], Forecasting and Inventory Management software tools.
