We are currently seeking a full-time Procurement Manager to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in developing purchasing strategies, managing supplier performance, controlling material costs, and maintaining reliable inventory levels. The successful candidate will work closely with production, operations, estimating, and project teams to ensure materials and services are sourced competitively and delivered according to business needs.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and manage procurement strategies that support production, projects, and company growth
- Source, evaluate, negotiate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, lead times, and supply agreements
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast material requirements to prevent shortages and excess stock
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, delivery, service, and reliability
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and operational efficiency
- Oversee purchase orders and ensure purchasing records are accurate and complete
- Collaborate with production, operations, estimating, and project teams to understand material requirements
- Resolve supplier, delivery, quality, and invoicing issues in a timely manner
- Monitor market conditions, material pricing, supply risks, and industry trends
- Develop procurement procedures, reporting tools, and performance measures
- Lead and support purchasing team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring
- Several years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
- Previous leadership or management experience
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, building materials, or a related industry is preferred
- Strong negotiation, vendor-management, and cost-analysis skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong analytical thinking and confident decision-making abilities
- Proficiency with purchasing, inventory, ERP, and Microsoft Office systems
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Post-secondary education in supply chain management, business, operations, or a related field is an asset
