WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Manager, Engagement IT Risk supports the identification and assessment of risk resulting from engagements with Third Parties that will deliver projects, products and services to support the strategic vision for RBC through on shoring, offshoring and near shoring supplier models. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert in third party IT risk and will partner with other RBC risk teams, as well as other senior members of their leadership teams and staff, to drive change to effectively manage risks in an open, collaborative environment to further mature the business risk culture. The Manager, Engagement IT Risk will work to facilitate change to meet the demands of TPITR, Global Cyber Security (GCS) and other divisions of the Enterprise, while managing multiple initiatives and time sensitive processes simultaneously.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Be the subject matter expert in Third Party IT Risk and the trusted risk advisor to the engagement owners and Supplier Management Offices
Participate in Legal contract reviews as needed to assure that the appropriate IT risk related clauses exist to support the organization's right to review/audit the security practices of its third parties
Participate in SOC (Qualified Opinion) reviews as required and provide appropriate guidance to risk owners
Lead the coordination of GCS stakeholder and completion of the IT risk assessment for Mergers and Acquisition (M&A’s)
Conduct the IT Risk Review for Request for Proposals (RFPs)
Contributes in the development of TPITR risk assessment processes and tools (SCA, RFP, etc.) as required
Responsible for the development, maintenance and communication of supplier required DLP controls within the Offshore Delivery Centers and Work From Home environments
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Minimum 2 to 4 years demonstrated experience in Cyber Security or Third Party IT Risk
Immediate Knowledge of Cyber Security Frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS) or other security-related practices
Ability to partner effectively with key stakeholders on complex projects with excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
Proven ability to work independently, plan effectively and lead initiatives to completion
Knowledge of government and regulatory requirements as it relates to data information management, including emerging trends and issues related to the subject matter.
CRISC, CISM, CCSP certification
Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporation
Strong knowledge of RBC Third Party Risk Standards and Supplier Management Framework
Able to demonstrate an analytical mindset, and strategic thinking
Ability to anticipate needs, be resilient in challenging situations and persevere to get the job done
