In this 12-month opportunity as an Underwriting Assistant, Personal Lines, Nordic, your work will have a big impact on our Facility Insurance department. People will count on you to deliver Intact’s legendary service by analyzing, selecting and processing risk to contribute to a profitable portfolio of business. This position is based in Mississauga, ON.
This role will offer you the chance to:
Handle less complex insurance policy renewals, endorsements and cancellations
Prepare new business files and input into our systems
Answer inquiries from brokers professionally and courteously
Maintain consistent high-quality service by supporting the team’s Service Level Agreements, as defined by the Facility Association
Build and maintain a strong cohesive team focusing on collaboration, recognition and development
Ensure quality of work is at an acceptable level based on both Nordic and Facility Association standards, completing an acceptable amount of transactions in both TIGER and regional policy system.
Process policies in accordance with established company guidelines, applicable laws and regulations, and subject to authorized limits. This includes reviewing supporting claim reports, applying standard rates or premiums and ordering required reports
Perform other administrative duties as assigned
One year of office related experience, preferably in the insurance field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
Legendary customer service and relationship building skills
Adaptable and flexible with the ability to prioritise work
Exemplary data entry skills and strong attention to detail
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Ability to navigate through multiple computer systems and thrive in a fast-paced environment
