The Coordinator, Student Transition & Engagement promotes and coordinates campus-wide student engagement programming that emphasizes student growth and life skills development that encourages resiliency and retention. This position is responsible for designing, developing and facilitating various elements of first-year transition programming, including planning and coordination of New Student Orientation and other student development and engagement activities that support undergraduate students.
Bachelor degree required
Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience in student engagement programming, at the post-secondary level
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively and to participate in consultative decision-making
Demonstrated skills in training and program evaluation
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, internet and e-mail applications combined with strong presentation and facilitation skills
Strong organizational and event planning skills
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
Ability to work evenings and weekends
