Pacific Awnings is the largest retailer of outdoor patio covering products on Vancouver Island. We sell and install awnings, fixed patio covers, louvered pergolas, retractable screens, aluminum railings and roll shutters for both residential and commercial customers.
Both companies are locally owned (same owners) and have been in business for almost 40 years. We have shared showrooms in Nanaimo and Victoria.

Job Description
The Design Consultant will provide recommendations and sell custom window coverings and patio covering products to residential and commercial customers. You will be responsible for the whole sales process – initial customer contact, in-home visit, quote, sale conversion, order processing and ensuring successful completion. Product training will be provided but it is expected that you are a quick learner and self-motivated to improve. The job involves preparing quotes, following up on leads, and monitoring sales through installation. Some customer leads will be provided, but it is expected for you to generate additional leads on your own. This is a commission-only position with significant earning potential ($80-$150k per year). This position will work under the supervision of the Sales Manager.
Job Requirements
- Sales experience and/or mindset is key. Highly motivated and goal driven with a proven track record in sales.
- Experience in window coverings and/or outdoor patio covering product is a plus.
- Attention to detail when preparing quotes and orders.
- Comfortable with Technology (MS Office, Google Calendar, Online Tools for customer data, leads, quotes, ordering, etc.)
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Valid driver's license is needed and must have their own reliable transportation.

Pay: $80,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
