We are recruiting to fill 1 full-time position for a Laboratory Technician in our Air Quality Services (AQS) Compressed Air and Gases department. This position will be located at our head office in Fredericton
Joining a group of experienced chemists in a commercial lab setting, the successful candidate(s) work will consist of various tasks including the preparation and analysis of various sample matrices, performing daily QA/QC checks, lab maintenance, disposing of waste, etc. The position is ideally suited to an individual with an attention to detail and who is capable of working in a self-directed manner. Good communication skills are necessary for working within a fast-paced commercial laboratory setting cooperatively within a group of technicians.
- Diploma or BSc. in Chemistry.
- An aptitude for working effectively in a fast-paced and technically challenging
- An understanding of laboratory QA/QC and electronic data handling.
- Prior experience in a commercial laboratory would be considered an asset.
- Organization, initiative, and attention to detail are highly desirable.
- Able to work independently as well as within a team setting.
Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience. RPC provides a generous compensation package including pension plan, employee assistance program, health and dental benefits, and paid leave. Hours of work are 8:15 to 4:30 Monday thru Friday with some overtime possible.
