Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems. This role requires expertise in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as the ability to effectively use power and hand tools. The Journeyperson / Apprentice Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete electrical installations and repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.
Qualifications
- Valid Electrician license or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience as an electrician
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools related to electrical work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
