Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Supervisor to join our dynamic construction team on a contract basis for large to medium scale projects the Ottawa area. In this vital role, you will oversee daily construction activities, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met. Your leadership will help coordinate subcontractors, manage safety protocols, and facilitate effective communication across teams. Responsibilities
- Managing daily operations on the construction site, ensuring work progresses according to schedule and safety standards.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and construction crews, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment with all stake-holders.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to verify work accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations (OSHA) and project quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of site activities, including daily reports, safety logs, and change orders related to contracts.
- Support project planning by assisting with schedulingSkills
- Proven experience in construction site supervision or management with a strong understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices for construction safety.
- Supervising experience with a focus on team coordination, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
