Our Kitchen Helpers support the culinary team by assisting with basic food preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. This role is essential to ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently while delivering an excellent guest experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
- Prepare simple food items as directed while following food safety standards.
- Operate dishwashers and wash pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen work areas, equipment, and storage areas.
- Restock food, supplies, and clean dishes throughout the shift.
- Remove garbage and recycling, and sweep and mop kitchen floors.
- Support cooks and chefs with general kitchen duties as needed.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience
- Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Positive attitude, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
