Five Xel is a growing company seeking experienced Technicians to support client projects involving both ISP (Inside Plant) and OSP (Outside Plant) telecommunications infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, route, and secure fiber optic cables in ISP and OSP environments.
Perform fiber optic splicing, connectorization, and testing.
Install, terminate, and maintain fiber enclosures, splice closures, and patch panels.
Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems (Cat 6 and Cat 6A).
Perform cable dressing, labeling, and documentation according to industry standards.
Troubleshoot fiber and copper network issues and perform corrective actions.
Conduct site surveys and collect information for new telecommunications projects.
Read and interpret network drawings, cable schedules, and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
Experience with ISP and OSP fiber optic installations.
Proficiency in fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
Experience with structured cabling systems, including Cat 6 and Cat 6A.
Familiarity with fiber enclosures, patch panels, and telecommunications infrastructure.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Pay: $28.00-$43.00 per hour
