JOB TITLE: Automotive Service Technician
DESCRIPTION
As an Automotive Technician at Wille Dodge Chrysler, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards of performance, quality and safety. You will work closely with service advisors and parts personnel to deliver top-quality service and exceed customer expectations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Vehicle Diagnosis and Repair:
- Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on various product models, including engine, transmission, brakes, steering, electrical systems, and more.
- Ensure all repairs are performed to the highest standards and in compliance with Stellantis specifications.
Quality and Efficiency:
- Complete work orders efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation surrounding work performed and required repairs including accurate punch times and complaint/cause/correction documentation.
- Perform test drives and road tests to verify concerns and repairs, ensuring proper vehicle functionality.
- Complete work following documented procedures as outlined by the manufacturer service information
- Address, document and communicate any issues or discrepancies noted during the repair process.
Customer Interaction:
- Communicate with service advisors regarding the status of vehicle repairs, issues and any additional work required.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for vehicle maintenance to ensure customer satisfaction.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and contribute effectively to the safety of yourself and others.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to dealership and industry standards.
Continual Learning:
- Remain current on the latest Stellantis technologies, service procedures, and industry best practices.
- Attend training sessions and workshops as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Automotive red seal
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably with Stellantis or other domestic brands.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and automotive technology.
- Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driving record.
TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on vehicles, including but not limited to, engine repairs, transmission service, brake repairs, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Utilize dealership service manuals, engineering resources and diagnostic software to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
- Replace or repair parts, components, and systems as needed.
WORK SHIFT/HOURS:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Overtime work may be required based on dealership needs.
