Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Parts Manager to oversee the parts department and ensure efficient operations. We have different companies within the Automotive sector in Moncton NB as well Amherst NS. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a background in supply chain management. This role involves managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and providing exceptional customer service to meet the needs of our clients.
Duties
- Manage the parts inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking inventory and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to forecast demand and plan for future parts requirements.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing for parts procurement.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding parts selection and usage.
- Maintain accurate data entry for all transactions related to parts management.
- Oversee the fabrication of custom parts as needed, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Train and supervise staff within the parts department, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a parts management role or similar position within an industrial or mechanical environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of demand planning processes and supply chain logistics.
- Proficient in data entry and management systems related to inventory control.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for understanding part specifications and applications.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,625.58-$74,119.11 per year
