Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist with Monthly and Annual inspections of fire alarm systems, smoke alarms, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers.
- Assist with system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation of fire alarm devices and sensors
- Assist with troubleshooting of fire alarm circuits and other low voltage wiring and circuits
- Learn to wire low voltage systems, sensors, and control panels following safety standards and technical specifications
- Learn industry codes and fire alarm report writing
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including installation steps, test results, and system configurations
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of testing and troubleshooting activities
Qualifications
- Enrolment in the CFAA Educational program (mandatory)
- Graduate of a college fire technology program highly desirable
- Interest or background in electrical work, mechanical systems, or related fields advantageous
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring, sensors, and control systems is a plus but training will be provided
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
