Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced B-Pressure Welder to join our team and operate a welding rig. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications and experience to perform welding tasks efficiently and effectively.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Drivers Licence with abstract provided
- Valid B-Pressure Welding tickets, including but not limited to:
- F3/F4 PQR
- F6/F5 or F6 PWR - REQUIRED
- H2S certification
- Confined space training
- Fall protection certification (not afraid of heights)
- First Aid certification
- CSTS (Construction Safety Training System) certification
Responsibilities:
- Perform B-Pressure welding tasks, including stainless and carbon piping work.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and use proper safety equipment.
- Operate welding rig and maintain equipment in good working condition.
- Welding using GTAW, SMAW methods
- Collaborate with the team to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a B-Pressure Welder, with a strong ability in stainless welding (both SMAW & GTAW).
- Valid B-Pressure Welding tickets as mentioned above.
- Highly proficient in TIG welding techniques. (Socket & Butt Welds)
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and certifications (H2S, confined space, fall protection, first aid, CSTS).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding situations.
