Job Summary
We are currently looking for an experienced Seafood Counter Associate to join our team. This role involves handling seafood products, ensuring quality and freshness, and providing excellent service to our customers.
Duties
- Preparing, cutting and packaging seafood products
- Following food safety procedures
- Assist customers with their seafood selections, purchases, cutting, and packaging seafood
- Maintain product displays and ensure freshness of seafood (ice and counter maintenance)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seafood department, including equipment and work areas.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous seafood experience is required
- Able to handle and prepare fresh fish and seafood
- Comfortable lifting heavy items
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to work in a cold/fast -paced environment
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety standards is essential.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (weekends/holidays as needed)
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
