The Maintenance Shift Operator is a position integral to the success of the hotel and should be filled by someone who gains incredible satisfaction from maintaining meticulous standards in a luxury hotel. With a keen eye for detail, this person must possess excellent guest service skills.
What makes you the perfect candidate:
- Trade certifications are an asset
- Maintenance/Construction experience preferred
- Hotel experience is an asset
- Safety Certifications in any of the following is an advantage: First Aid/CPR, working at heights, aerial platform, lock out/tag out, ladder safety, confined spaces.
- Thrives in extremely fast paced and professional environment whereby some duties are planned, and others are emergencies.
- Adept at handling multiple and changing priorities at any given time.
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of general building maintenance duties as assigned.
- Maintain familiarity with building systems including but not limited to ERV/HRV units, HVAC units, water heating units, water cooling system, fire alarm system, electrical systems, exhaust timers.
- Maintains outside property maintenance including snow removal, pool area, equipment room and always ensure safe environments.
- Mechanical room housekeeping
- General in-room repairs, filter changes, water softener top ups, painting, high dusting of events facility venting
- Exterior building maintenance including, exterior light bulbs changed as required.
- Perform repairs and upgrades as needed.
- Opening and closing the pool & maintain pool chemistry.
- Use all equipment according to operating procedures and notify Facility Manager of any issues.
- Follow preventative maintenance programs as directed.
- Reactive maintenance support
- Follow all Pearle Hospitality and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Interact with team members, guests, business partners, and contractors in a professional manner.
- Interact with external contractors and report back any information required to Facility Manager.
