As a Communications Specialist III, you will be an integral part of the External Communications department supporting media relations, advocacy, crisis management, and leadership development. What's the Job?
- Develop and execute external communication strategies to enhance the company's reputation and support business initiatives.
- Create, edit, and distribute media materials such as news releases, advisories, speeches, and key messages.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Support crisis communication efforts, including acting as a Public Information Officer during emergencies.
- Lead and develop a team of communication advisors to ensure strategic alignment and professional growth.
What's Needed?
- Post-secondary education with 7 to 10 years of experience in external communications, media relations, or public affairs.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape within the energy industry and related regulatory environments.
- Exceptional writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
- Experience in crisis communications and issues management.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, handle ambiguity, and manage multiple projects effectively.
