Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a dynamic organization that values accuracy and efficiency.
Duties
- Process and verify invoices using Bistrack and Great Plains accounting software
- Manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist with administrative functions when necessary
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing issues
- Conduct analysis to identify payment trends or discrepancies for process improvements
Experience
- Proven experience with accounting software. Prior experience with Bistrack or Great Plains is a definite asset
- Strong background in accounts payable processes
- Familiarity with data entry and account reconciliation techniques
- Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data management
