Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with product selections, and creating a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, communicative, and capable of engaging with diverse customers to enhance their shopping experience.
· Conducting tutored wine tastings with customers
· Table service
· Processing sales through a POS
· Acting as a brand ambassador and building relationships with customers
· Using active sales techniques
· Food service on the patio
· Participation in occasional offsite or evening events
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
· Smart Serve Certified or willing to obtain certification
· Available to work on weekends
· Experience with, or willing to learn active sales techniques
· Knowledge of wine and/or willing to learn about wine production and tasting profiles (scripts will be provided)
· Outgoing and personable
· Highly responsible and reliable
· Ability to work well in a busy, fast paced retail environment
· Ability to lift 30lbs from shoulder height
The schedule would be 3 days a week, mainly Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, for approximately 20 hours.
