The successful candidate will work as part of the Manufacturing Team and be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Review all documentation as per established Fabris Inc. work instructions (ie. work order packages, certificate of compliance, etc.)
- Ability to program and operate Zeiss coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
- Perform inspection of incoming raw materials, first offs, in-process inspections and final inspection
- Inspection of outside processing parts (heat treating, LPI)
- Perform dimensional First Article Inspection reports
- Generate and disposition non-conformance reports
- Report all quality concerns to management
- Calibrate and control of records for all Team Member and Fabris Inc. inspection tools
- Communicate with Production and Engineering departments on quality issues
- Perform hardness testing
- Attend continuous improvements meetings and complete projects, as required
- Understand the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
- Understand, update and follow the policies and procedures of our Quality Management System (QMS) and how it relates to Customer Service – both External and Internal
To be successful in this role, the qualifications needed are:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical related field or equivalent experience
- Above average competency in Math
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Inspecting in a manufacturing environment
- Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
- Competent in the use of machine shop inspection tools
- Familiar with ISO9000/9001 requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
