We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Kelowna team. Reporting to the Senior Management Team, this position will provide essential coordination and project support to our Project Managers and Superintendents, helping deliver safe, efficient, and successful construction projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and motivated individual who wants hands-on exposure to civil construction projects and the opportunity to grow into greater project management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Administration
- Coordinate daily project activities and provide support to Project Managers and Superintendents.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, correspondence, meeting minutes, and project records.
- Support project start-up and close-out processes, including permits, documentation, warranties, and turnover requirements.
- Prepare project files, field packages, and documentation required by project teams.
Procurement & Cost Tracking
- Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations and support procurement activities.
- Prepare purchase orders, work orders, subcontract documentation, and change orders for review.
- Coordinate material and equipment requirements to support project schedules.
- Assist with tracking project costs, budgets, progress billings, and job costing.
Communication & Project Support
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, engineers, and clients.
- Attend project meetings, record action items, and support follow-up activities.
- Identify potential scheduling, documentation, or coordination issues and communicate them to the project team.
- Support company safety initiatives and ensure safety requirements are considered throughout project activities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent construction experience.
- Experience in civil construction, construction administration, estimating, or project coordination is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications is an asset.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Compensation & Benefits
$26.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
