Responsible for providing administrative support to the Manager(s) of Acute Care. The
Administrative Assistant will function as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.
This will require expertise in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships
with a broad range of individuals and organizations. The Administrative Assistant is
expected to show flexibility in dealing with fluctuating workload demands. The
Administrative Assistant will effectively demonstrate core competencies including
teamwork and collaboration, adaptability, initiative and pro-activity, diversity awareness
and development of self and others.
- Completion of post-secondary education in office administration through a business
school or college (combinations of education and experience may be considered)
- Recognized Medical Terminology course preferred
- Excellent knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Access, Outlook, Publisher) QHR and Internet
- Minimum of three (3) years directly related experience
- Accurate word processing at 50 words per minute (typing test will be required)
