Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools promptly and thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Follow food handling safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met
- Organize and store clean items efficiently for easy access by kitchen staff
- Support the team during busy service times by quickly replenishing supplies and managing dish flow
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for all team members
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory—enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, food handling, and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or containers
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation practices is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety at all times
- Previous experience with hospitality or food service roles will be advantageous but not required
