iGaming Ontario leads the Province of Ontario’s new, dynamic, internet gaming (igaming) market that, in its second year generated $63 billion in total wagers, a 78% increase over its first year. Even more, in its second year Ontario’s igaming market sustained almost 15,000 full-time equivalent jobs across the province. iGaming Ontario is seeking an HR Specialist to join its dynamic team. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, you will provide professional and client-centric human resource support to iGaming Ontario management and staff.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the employee engagement survey while analyzing data to provide sound advice to leaders on key actions required to increase engagement.
- Analyzing workforce data and analytics via MS Excel to formulate insights and recommendations while implementing solutions.
- Facilitating iGaming Ontario’s performance management program as the primary resource through the full lifecycle while guiding leaders on effective performance management practices, including development planning, goal setting, quarterly check-ins, and feedback conversations.
- Coordinating Health & Safety Committee training and related activities, ensuring the seamless completion of agenda action items and distribution of documentation as required.
- Coordinating accommodations and disability claims, including monitoring and communicating claim updates between employee, manager, payroll and external claim management provider while drafting return-to-work plans as required.
- Building and executing human resources policies to support the organization.
- Facilitating and administering learning and development programs while creating a calendar of programs to advance iGaming Ontario’s business objectives, including employee engagement.
- Administering the LMS and updating the system with new training and requirements as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Post-Secondary education in business administration, human resources or other related degree, or a combination of education/experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a HR Generalist, Specialist or Advisor preferably in a unionized environment.
- A strong understanding of human resources functions including performance management, learning and development, disability management and HR analytics paired with knowledge of employment legislation and labour relations practices.
- Experience building and operationalizing services that are client-centric and support a small, dynamic organization.
- Experience using LMS and HRIS (Dayforce and Workday experience preferred), along with various Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Forms.
- Ability to take initiative, exercise good judgement and discretion while effectively supporting all levels of management and employees.
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills and strong ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices.
- Possession of or working towards a CHRP or CHRL designation.
