The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of incoming and outgoing of goods, ensuring accurate inventory control, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. This role leads the shipping and receiving team, coordinates daily logistics, ensures compliance with company policies and safety standards, and works collaboratively with internal departments and carriers to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective operations.
Inventory Management
- Manage raw material, WIP and finished goods inventory storage and movement
- Document inventory transactions using the ERP system
- Oversee cycle counts
- Audit and track inventory accuracy metrics
- Proactively fix inventory inaccuracy issues
Shipping & Receiving
- Oversee inbound raw material movements to meet production requirements
- Ensure all received items meet all quality requirements including completion of all related paperwork
- Maintain managed warehouse bin management, ingredient allocation, inventory control
- Oversee all outbound finished goods shipments
- Ensure shipments have proper documentation and packaging
- Ensure compliance with all transportation and customs regulations for every shipment
Supervision Duties
- Supervise the Shipping & Receiving and Material Handling departments
- Schedule shifts, overtime, and vacation in Dayforce and approving shifts for payroll
- Train and monitor employees in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safe work practices
- Foster and maintain positive environment by treating all employees with respect, providing timely feedback
- Other duties as assigned

Five+ years of Shipping & Receiving Supervisory/leadership experience in a unionized setting, ideally within a similar manufacturing environment
- Five Years of related experience in warehouse operations management including: pick and pack, shipping and receiving, inventory management and metric management
- Experience using Microsoft Office including word processing, spreadsheets, and basic file structure. Must be highly proficient with Excel
- Experience shipping and receiving products in a fast-paced environment
- Able to accurately document dimensions and weight of products
- Knowledge of SAP a plus
- Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Strong written and verbal language communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to take initiative and work independently
Education

University degree or college diploma OR equivalent experience
Working Conditions:
- Usually work in plant environment with normal amounts of office/plant related conditions.
- Standard work week, rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime hours to accommodate activities.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally may be required to work overtime
