CGEC Learning Centre is a Vancouver-based international student support company. We primarily support high school and university students from Asia, especially Japan, who are studying in Canada. As a growing organization welcoming approximately 100 students annually, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented team members to support both office administration and client relations increasing sales.
Role Overview
This position focuses on sales-agent account administration, client support, and general office coordination, with some bookkeeping responsibilities.
We are looking for someone with a strong communication mindset and a “sales-oriented” personality who can build-on established Japanese agency relationships while supporting internal office operations.
Key Responsibilities (training provided)
Client & Account Coordination (Primary Focus)
- Respond to new inquiries from students and sales-agents, providing client support in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate with students, parents, and sales-agent partners sending brochures, price lists etc. (mainly in Japanese and English)
- Support student onboarding and application processes
- Maintain sales-agency relationships, growing sales whenever opportunity appears and assist with service coordination
- Contribute to marketing, sales and promotional team activities, initiative is important (e.g., newsletters, mailing lists, brand communication)
Administrative Support
- Prepare documents, reports, and student application materials
- Coordinate internal communications and office operations
- Support general administrative and clerical tasks
Bookkeeping Support
- Assist with invoicing, expense tracking, and collections
- Maintain financial records using tools such as Sage 50 and spreadsheets
- Support preparation of basic financial summaries and reports
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of bookkeeping or administrative experience
- Experience with Sage 50 and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Native or business-level Japanese proficiency (required)
- Professional level of English (written and spoken)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsible
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Sales-oriented mindset / strong interpersonal skills (highly valued)
Work Eligibility
- Legally eligible to work in Canada for at least 3 years
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-time
- Schedule: 5 working days per week, scheduled between Monday and Saturday
- Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Work Location: In person (Vancouver, BC)
- Salary: CA$37,000 – CA$50,000 per year (based on experience and performance)
