Exciting Job Opportunity in our Winnipeg Facility: Accounts Payable Clerk
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for reviewing all invoices and expenses, ensuring completeness, accuracy and timely payment. This includes matching, batching and coding invoices and expenses; ensuring all expenses are recorded in the correct period. In addition, this position completes the necessary account reconciliations.
Primary Work Activities and Responsibilities

Match, code, process, post and reconcile accounts payable transactions.

Monitoring discount opportunities; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving PO, contract, invoice or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or PO amendments.

Corresponds with vendors and responds to inquiries, maintains good vendor relations and solves problems.

Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.

Analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries, charges expenses to accounts and cost centers
Experience and Technical Skills Required

1 – 3 years progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment

Understanding of data privacy standards.

Proficiency with MS Office programs

Experience in a mid to large sized office

Superior interpersonal skills, integrity and honesty.

Demonstrates confidence and a collaborative attitude with all team members.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Attention to detail and high level of mental concentration.
