Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Plumbing Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing systems, construction, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess a strong work ethic, and have an interest in developing technical skills within the plumbing and construction industry. As a Plumbing Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of experienced plumbers to gain practical knowledge and contribute to various projects involving installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings
- Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing projects
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fitting, and assembling pipes and fixtures
- Support the setup and cleanup of job sites to ensure safety and efficiency
- Participate in measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipes according to project specifications
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
- Gain knowledge of building codes, regulations, and best practices related to plumbing installations
- Perform routine maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors
Experience
- Prior experience or familiarity with mechanical knowledge, carpentry, HVAC systems, or construction is a plus but not required
- Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, blueprint reading, basic math skills, schematics interpretation, welding techniques, assembly processes, and maintenance procedures is advantageous
- Willingness to learn new skills on the job with guidance from experienced professionals
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
