Mani Industrial Coatings Inc. is looking for a hardworking, dependable Shop Labourer / Paint Prep Technician to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in a clean and organized workspace, and wants to build a career in the industrial coatings industry. Previous experience is an asset, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Mani Industrial Coatings Inc. is a Central Alberta industrial painting and abrasive blasting contractor specializing in protective coating systems for structural steel, tanks, industrial equipment, piping, and fabricated components. We are committed to quality workmanship, safety, and delivering exceptional service to our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPaint Preparation
- Prepare steel and fabricated components for blasting and painting
- Mask, tape, and protect surfaces as required
- Sand, grind, scrape, and clean surfaces
- Assist with material handling and staging
- Prepare completed work for shipment
Shop Support
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Sweep floors and clean work areas
- Remove waste materials and used blasting media
- Organize tools, equipment, and supplies
- Assist painters and blasters with daily production activities
Material Handling
- Load and unload trucks
- Move materials using forklifts or overhead cranes (training provided if required)
- Organize inventory and job materials
- Assist with equipment maintenance and cleanup
Safety
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Wear required PPE at all times
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment
- Report unsafe conditions immediately
QUALIFICATIONS Required
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in an industrial shop environment
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in industrial painting or sandblasting
- Construction or manufacturing experience
- Forklift certification
- Overhead crane experience
- Experience using grinders, power tools, and hand tools
