Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced baker to join our team in a dynamic bakery environment. This role offers both part-time and full-time opportunities for individuals passionate about baking and food preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking, cake decorating, and food handling, with a focus on delivering high-quality baked goods and excellent customer service. Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies
- Decorate cakes and desserts with creative designs and professional finishing touches
- Ensure all food preparation meets food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Package baked products for sale or delivery, maintaining presentation quality
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during food preparation
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking ingredients and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced environment
Experience
- Proven experience in baking, preferably within a bakery or restaurant setting
- Skilled in cake decorating and food presentation techniques
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations in the food industry
- Familiarity with packaging baked goods for retail or wholesale purposes
- Strong customer service skills to engage with customers professionally
- Previous restaurant or bakery experience is highly desirable but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates
