The North Okanagan Therapeutic Riding Association (NOTRA) is looking for an energetic, self-directed team player to coordinate riders with special needs, volunteer horse handlers and side walkers, coordinate instructor lessons and monitor horses for our Fall Session starting in September. The successful candidate must have excellent communication, administration and computer skills combined with a compassionate personality.
This part-time job (10-20 hours per week) can be done from a home office, but there are some mandatory hours at our facility at the O’Keefe Ranch during session time. Work hours are flexible, but some weekend work will be required for special events and fundraisers.
The Program Coordinator will work with other NOTRA team members to ensure the smooth running of operations. They will be managed by and report to the Board of Directors. Candidates with volunteer management, horse care experience, riding/coaching and a desire to work with special needs children, youth and adults will be considered assets.
