The Role
Reporting to the Controller, we are looking for an Intermediate Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day duties of the accounting department and ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
Location
This is a in-office role based out of downtown Vancouver, B.C.
Key Accountabilities
- Process and verify vendor invoices and employee expense reports
- Ensure invoices are accurately coded to the general ledger
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
- Provide support in resolving complex discrepancies involving Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Claims
- Assist with system testing, process improvements, and special projects
- Provide cross-functional backup support to accounting staff as required
- Perform additional duties and administrative tasks as assigned by the Controller
Qualifications
- Proficiency with MS Office, including intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and data manipulation)
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with large volumes of data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, dependable, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude and demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems
- Experience with coding or programming is considered an asset
Salary Range: CAD $50,000-$55,000
*Actual pay may be below or above range based on candidates' knowledge, skills, and level of ability relative to expectations for the role applied to. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply.
