1Click Energy Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Technician to support our expanding residential heat pump installation team in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
We are looking for someone experienced in residential HVAC installations who takes pride in clean workmanship, efficient installs, and delivering a high-quality customer experience. This role focuses primarily on heat pump retrofits, duct modifications, ventilation work, and sheet metal fabrication required for residential heating and cooling systems.

Install and modify residential ductwork for central heat pump installations

Fabricate custom sheet metal transitions, plenums, fittings, and duct components on-site or in shop

Perform duct modifications during oil furnace-to-electric heat pump conversions

Install ventilation systems and air distribution components for residential HVAC systems

Assist with ducted and ductless heat pump installations

Ensure proper airflow design and clean, efficient system layout during installations

Seal, insulate, and secure duct systems according to installation standards

Read installation layouts, mechanical drawings, and job specifications
-
Maintain clean and professional job sites inside occupied homes
-
Follow all workplace safety procedures and installation standards

Experience installing residential HVAC ductwork and sheet metal systems

Red Seal Sheet Metal Worker with heat pump installation experience strongly preferred

Ability to fabricate custom plenums, transitions, return air boxes, and fittings

Comfortable using brakes, shears, crimpers, seamers, and standard HVAC installation tools

Understanding of airflow principles and residential duct design

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

Ability to work efficiently in attics, crawlspaces, basements, and confined spaces

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work
