JSM Law is growing and we are looking for an in-person, Personal Injury Lawyer to join our team.
The candidate would be familiar with BOTH Accident Benefits and Tort.
Responsibilities for the Lawyer include, but are not limited to:
- Assessing files based on medical evidence
- Meet with clients
- Drafting, reviewing, amending Pleadings
- Prepare Statements of Claim, Mediation Memorandum, trial records, and other hearings at the LAT, etc.
- Research, factum writing, correspondence with opposing counsel
- Attend and represent clients for Motions, Examinations for Discovery, pre-trials, trials, etc.
- Settlement of claims
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications for Lawyer
- J.D. or LL.B. with exceptional academic credentials;
- License to practice law in Ontario;
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario;
- 4+ years of experience in Personal Injury;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills;
- Exceptional time management, organizational and prioritization skills;
- Ability to work independently and strong work ethics;
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Demonstrated knowledge and interest in personal injury law specifically plaintiff personal injury
- Client-centric focused with a proven passion to make a difference
- “Roll up the sleeves” workflow and practice approach
Salary:
- Salary commensurate to experience
