As a Roofing Labourer at Iron Shield, you’ll work alongside our experienced installation crews and receive hands-on training in flat, commercial, and metal roofing systems. No experience necessary — just a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist installers with material handling, preparation, and site clean-up
- Load and unload roofing materials on site and on rooftops
- Support the crew with daily tasks as directed by the foreman
- Follow all Alberta OHS site safety rules and participate in safety orientations
- Learn roofing techniques and systems through structured on-the-job training
Qualifications
- No prior roofing experience required — we will train the right person
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a genuine willingness to learn
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and outdoors
- Valid Fall Protection certificate
- Valid Alberta driver’s license is an asset
