Raise is currently hiring an Document Control & Information Management Specialist on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on the rate for an incorporated contractor who owns their own business. However, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in a T4 arrangement, where applicable.
Description
Our Clients Technical Services (TS) team is actively modernizing and expanding their information management systems. As they deploy new digital tools and technologies, we are generating vast volumes of valuable data and technical information that require robust administration, governance, and oversight.
The Document Control & Information Management Specialist in this role, will primarily administer technical drawing management processes and play a key part in supporting our transition to modern digital tools. This role directly supports TS’s strategic objectives of establishing a secure, digital work environment while improving the accessibility, reliability, and usability of our critical technical information.
Responsibilities

Technical Drawing & Information Administration: Oversee, organize, and administer technical drawing management processes, ensure adherence to document control standards, and manage document lifecycles from creation through archiving.

Digital Tool Transition & Support: Drive user adoption and assist in the transition to digital collaboration platforms, primarily serving as a key administrator/super-user for Autodesk Vault, Bluebeam, and Microsoft SharePoint.

Governance & Compliance: Apply information management theory to govern metadata, access rights, version control, and data integrity across Technical Services repositories.

Project Support: Partner with project management teams and Technical Services engineers to ensure project deliverables, vendor documentation, and engineering records meet ’s information standards.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline information management workflows, optimize digital tool usage, and train end-users on system best practices.

Qualifications
-
4 to 9 years of direct experience in document control, technical information management, or project administration within an engineering, mining, industrial, or technical environment.

Hands-on, demonstrable experience with Autodesk Vault (or similar CAD/EDMS systems), Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft SharePoint / Office 365 ecosystem.

Sound understanding of engineering drawing workflows, CAD file relationships, revision control, and technical
- Deep understanding of information governance principles, metadata structures, taxonomy development, and document retention practices.

Project Team Integration: Proven experience working within project/program management frameworks and supporting multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Strong eagerness to learn, adapt to evolving digital systems, and champion technological change within an team.

Exceptional organization, clear written/verbal communication skills, and a high degree of accuracy when auditing data and managing records.

Education and Certifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information/Records Management, Library Science, or equivalent practical work experience.
