Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Printing Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring printing machines used in the production of plastic film and flexible packaging products. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining print quality, meeting production targets, and following all safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate printing machines according to production orders.
- Prepare inks, printing plates, and materials for production.
- Monitor print quality and make machine adjustments as needed.
- Ensure proper color registration and print alignment.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major equipment problems to the supervisor.
- Complete production reports and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating printing machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with flexographic printing on plastic film or flexible packaging is preferred.
- Knowledge of printing processes, inks, and color matching.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read production orders and follow work instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Day, Afternoon, or Night shifts available.
- Overtime may be required based on production needs.
