Primary Job Responsibilities
Manage and be responsible for the overall financial reporting of the operation, and all other financial related activities at the plant.
Update and track plant “dashboards”
Daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting to your local team as well as to the Corporate offices
Prepare annual budgets, monthly/weekly forecasts and analyze variance to each on a month to month basis
Oversee all functions of the local general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and production and non-production purchasing activities
Monitor Engineering Changes to ensure no negative financial issues result from the change
Participate in layered/internal audits to Android’s Business Systems
Report financial progress to the local team as well as the Senior Team through monthly management reviews
Verify proper recording and payment of wages and related benefit costs
Reconcile balance sheet accounts to supporting documentation, investigate and resolve reconciling items timely
Provide direction and leadership over local capital asset requests (CARs)
Government reporting monthly for HST and WSIB
Annual reporting for EHT and WSIB
Monthly, Quarterly, and Annul Statistics Canada Reporting
Day to day accounting functions
Weekly forecast of prior weeks results and possible future events that veer from the last forecast or budget
Complete knowledge of the operation at the facility and consistently offering suggestions for improvement
Monitor the plant spending to ensure that the facility is acting fiscally responsible
Monthly deliverables to both the local team and the Corporate Team
Complete report out of monthly results
Complete analysis of variances to both our monthly forecasts and annual budgets
Monthly forecasts and analysis to budget and prior month forecasts
Updated monthly balance sheet activity
Complete breakdown of Accounts receivable position
Complete adherence to the Android Business Systems
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 7-10 years accounting experience with very strong operational competency in the manufacturing industry
Must have Automotive Tier I supplier experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required
Prior Plant Controller experience preferred
Strong experience in creating and analyzing annual/monthly/ weekly budgets and forecasts
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Strong experience with ERP systems, QAD preferred
Strong experience with Enterprise Performance Management Systems, BPC preferred
