This is not an entry-level position. Previous millwork finishing experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare wood surfaces by sanding, filling, and cleaning.
- Apply stains, sealers, primers, lacquers, conversion varnishes, polyurethane, and other wood finishes.
- Mix and match stains and finishes to meet project specifications.
- Spray, touch up, and finish custom cabinetry and architectural millwork to a high standard.
- Inspect finished products and correct imperfections before production is complete.
- Maintain spray booth, spray guns, and finishing equipment.
- Read shop drawings and finishing schedules.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent damage.
- Keep the finishing department clean, organized, and safe.
- Work efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality.
- Meet production deadlines without sacrificing workmanship.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience finishing custom millwork or cabinetry in a professional millwork shop.
Applicants without millwork finishing experience will not be considered.
You must have:
- Extensive experience with spray finishing techniques.
- Strong knowledge of stains, lacquers, conversion varnishes, and other wood finishing products.
- Excellent sanding and surface preparation skills.
- Ability to identify and correct finish defects.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help the team when needed.

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
