Material Coordinator (Calgary-based) – Remote / Hybrid

About the Role
We are currently supporting a leading aerospace manufacturer in hiring a Material Coordinator to support avionics upgrade programs. This role is critical to ensuring material availability, tracking kit readiness, and supporting cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This is a data-driven coordination role, combining supply chain operations with strong Excel and reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate material and kit availability across multiple projects and stakeholders
- Track and monitor material status, shortages, and delivery timelines
- Maintain accurate data and updates in ERP systems
- Work closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Inventory Control, and Customer Service
- Identify risks and proactively escalate material shortages or delays
- Manage and update large volumes of information across multiple requests
- Support reporting and data tracking using Excel and Power BI
- Contribute to continuous improvement of material coordination processes
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in: Material coordination, Supply chain / inventory / planning
- Strong experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments (aerospace is an asset)
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel: Pivot tables, Lookups (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), Data tracking & analysis
- Experience building or supporting Power BI dashboards / visualizations
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Based in Calgary or surrounding area, with flexibility for travel
Nice to Have
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Exposure to inventory tracking, kit coordination, or material planning
- APICS or similar certification
Location Requirement (Important)
- This is primarily a remote role; however, candidates must be based in Calgary or nearby
- Ability to be onsite in Calgary if required
Travel
- Travel to Kitchener, ON approximately 1–2 times per month
- More frequent travel may be required at the beginning of the assignment (onboarding / team integration)
Please note: candidates not located in the Calgary area will not be considered.
Pay: $45.00-$52.00 per hour
