Job Description
This role supports the relocation of industrial manufacturing equipment and office operations from Agassiz to Langley. You will work in both office and shop environments, handling a variety of tasks that include packing, organizing, and assisting on the production floor. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to use a tablet to catalogue items, and a readiness to perform physical work throughout the duration of a four‑month contract.
Responsibilities

Support the relocation of equipment and office contents from Agassiz to Langley by performing a wide range of general labour tasks.

Pack boxes with documents, office supplies, and other materials from various office areas in an organized and secure manner.

Take down and carefully prepare office fixtures such as whiteboards and other mounted items for transport.

Assist on the shop floor with general labour duties related to moving, organizing, and preparing industrial equipment and materials.

Catalogue documents and office items as they are packed, ensuring accurate records are maintained using a tablet or similar device.

Work effectively in both office and production areas, adapting to different environments and task requirements throughout the day.

Communicate clearly in English with team members to coordinate tasks, clarify instructions, and maintain safe working practices.

Lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs as part of daily activities, using proper lifting techniques.

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working in industrial and shop settings, including safe use of material handling equipment.

Commit to and maintain reliable attendance and punctuality for the full four‑month contract period.
Essential Skills-
At least 1 year of experience working in an industrial or shop setting.

Experience operating a SDCB (sit‑down counterbalance) forklift in a production or warehouse environment.

Strong attention to detail when packing, organizing, and cataloguing documents and office items.

Ability to use a tablet or similar device to record and track items accurately.

Strong English communication skills for following instructions and collaborating with the team.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly during the workday.

Willingness and ability to commit to a 4‑month contract.
Additional Skills & Qualifications-
Forklift certification is an asset.

Comfort working in both office and shop environments.

Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities during a large relocation project.

Work Environment
You will work across both office and production areas in the Agassiz shop, supporting activities related to the move to Langley. The standard shift runs from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, offering consistent daytime hours. Work is physically active and involves regular lifting, moving items, and navigating both office and shop settings, with appropriate work attire suited to an industrial and office environment.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
