We are looking for an experienced Construction Layout Surveyor for an upcoming high-rise project in Halifax, NS.

Schedule:
· 8 hours shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain project benchmarks, control points, and building grids.
- Perform layout for foundations, footings, columns, walls, core walls, slabs, openings, and other structural elements.
- Provide accurate layout and elevation control for formwork and concrete operations.
- Verify dimensions, elevations, locations, and verticality of structural elements.
- Perform survey checks before and after concrete placement.
- Establish and maintain vertical control as construction progresses floor by floor.
- Perform layout and verification of embeds, anchor bolts, sleeves, and other cast-in-place components.
- Assist with elevator/core and other critical structural layouts.
- Identify and communicate discrepancies between drawings, layout, and field conditions.
- Read and interpret structural, architectural, and civil drawings.
- Maintain accurate survey records, field notes, measurements, and as-built information.
- Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including total stations, robotic total stations, levels, and related equipment.
- Work closely with the Superintendent and Formwork Foreman to coordinate daily layout requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders as required.
- Ensure all survey work is performed safely and in accordance with company and project procedures.
- Support project quality-control and deficiency-prevention activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of construction surveying/survey technician experience required.
- High-rise concrete construction experience required.
- Experience with formwork, structural concrete, or building construction.
- Proficiency operating a total station and/or robotic total station.
- Strong understanding of construction layout, elevations, benchmarks, and vertical control.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with the site team.
- Ability to work outdoors and on an active high-rise construction site.
- Valid WHMIS and Nova Scotia Fall Arrest certificates.
