We are seeking a Project Manager to step into an existing role and become part of our team.
Company Background:
Associated Paving and Material Ltd. is a Municipal, Industrial and Residential construction Company specializing road construction. Our services include Asphalt Paving, Concrete works, Excavation and Grading.
Responsibilities:
- Direct & oversee construction projects from start to completion while monitoring compliance with safety and road construction regulations.
- Prepare internal and external reports relating to job status, daily progress, estimates and deliverables.
- Coordinate subcontractors and the construction team to meet contractual obligations.
- Review project requirements to determine and organize work, equipment, and labor requirements. Interpret project specification and develop/apply change orders/daily work records as required.
- Confer with supervisory and engineering personnel to resolve construction issues to minimize delays and maximize efficiency to ensure a smoothly run project.
- Communicate with responsible parties to ensure that the quality construction exceeds company standards and proper industry standards are utilized ensuring that the client’s needs are met
- Attend coordination and production meetings to address any issues related to the project.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvements by identifying new practices that will contribute to the overall success of the project and company
- Maintain close contacts with client’s and their representatives to ensure their overall satisfaction
- Work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment to plan and coordinate all aspects of the schedule requirements.
Prerequisites:
- 3-5 years' experience in civil and road construction project management
- College diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Microsoft Project
- Methodical, accurate and consistent attention to detail while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Effective organization and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Class G or equivalent driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment; Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
