Springfield Golf and Country Club, located in the south end of Guelph, is seeking outgoing, energetic servers to join our club's front of house team for the remainder of the year (July through December).
We are looking to fill positions in our Restaurant and/or Banquet departments.
For our Restaurant/Banquet Servers the hours per week will fluctuate and is not limited to but will include after 11AM or 2:30PM on weekdays and anytime on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays).
We are also looking for Occasional Banquet Servers that can work 3-5 times a month anytime after 3/4PM on weekdays and anytime after 11AM or 3PM on Saturdays, and possibly some Sundays.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing engaging table service in the restaurant alongside fellow servers
- Serving large banquet-style meals collaboratively with a team of servers
- Setting up and tearing down of banquet rooms
- Bartending, including; mixing drinks, pouring draft, tracking consumption and checking IDs
- Operating the POS system and handling cash transactions.
- Answering the phone, taking food orders, and making reservations.
- Daily cleaning, organizing and stocking of service & kitchen areas
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ontario Smart Serve Certification.
- Open availability, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work quickly and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to move quickly and physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform moderately heavy lifting (moving tables and chairs, carrying large trays of dishes, and handling kegs & beer cases).
- Previous restaurant or banquet experience is considered a significant asset.
