Bellabee Childcare has been providing high quality childcare in West Vancouver since 1997. Type of Child care:
-Infant/Toddler, group size of 8
Key Responsibilites :
-Build strong relationships with the children & their families
-Build curriculum and develop Pedagogical Documentation
-Work closely as part of a teaching team
-Supervising a group of 8 children, and maintaing the highest level of health + safety at all times
-Show creativity, enthusiasm, and a sincere passion for the field of Early Childhood Care + Education
-Ability to work individually when needed
-Create & Implement age appropriate provocations and documentation to further develop the wonder of exploration
-Enjoy the outdoors; we love to spend time exploring and walking in our neighbourhood
-Displays strong communication & writing skills
Gordon House Childcare is a small, licensed group childcare facility located in a cozy building in the heart of West Vancouver. We are close to shops, the West Vancouver Community Centre, Bus routes and the Seawall.
We can be flexible in regards to hours (full or part time)
The ideal cadidate will:
-Hold a valid BC Infant/Toddler license to practice
-Hold a valid 1st Aid + CPR Certificate
-Consent to a Criminal Record Check
-Knowlege of the Reggio Emilia approach
-Have a passion for ongoing growth and professional development
-Be flexible, punctual, and be a positive team player
-Enjoy music and humour as a positive teaching tool
Required Experience:
- Experience working in a group childcare setting
Salary + Benefits:
-$29.00-$31.00 per hour (which includes 6$ Wage Enhancement)
- 6% vacation pay will be added to each pay period, this includes our winter closure of 5 days
- 1 'bonus' week paid summer break
- Flexibility and support for extended vacation time
-5 days sick pay
-Full time rotating shifts between 7:45am-5:15pm (8:00am-5:15pm during school breaks)
-7.5 hours direct service, 1/2 hour paid break, 1/2 hour unpaid break
