Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shutdown Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and clamp trucks to manage inventory, facilitate order picking, and support warehouse distribution activities during shutdown periods. This role requires mechanical knowledge, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform heavy lifting efficiently. The Shutdown Forklift Operator plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining safety standards within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift trucks, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management by accurately picking, staging, and organizing orders using warehouse management systems.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed to support warehouse distribution activities during shutdown periods.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper handling of materials and adherence to operational guidelines.
- Support warehouse team members in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods from trucks or storage areas as required.
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers in a warehouse setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for order picking and inventory control.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
