Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR initiatives and support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR program management, ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive workplace culture. This role requires a proactive leader with strong communication skills, expertise in HRIS systems, and the ability to implement process improvements across HR functions. The Human Resources Manager will collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives, utilizing data analysis skills to inform decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.
Duties
- Partner with leaders and managers to provide HR guidance and support across employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, talent management, employee recognition, training and development, and workplace health and safety.
- Lead full-cycle hourly recruitment including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding new hires, new hire orientation, offboarding, and exit interview processes.
- Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors, and managers, providing timely, professional, and practical guidance.
- Organize and participate in employee engagement initiatives, events, and activities that support a positive and respectful workplace culture.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to leaders and managers on HR best practices, employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and consistent people management practices.
- Coach managers on performance improvement plans and development strategies.
- Identify training needs and facilitate or coordinate internal training programs.
- Support payroll processing and benefits administration in collaboration with finance and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, union agreements (if applicable), and health & safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and the employee handbook.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 6+ years of HR experience, with at least 4 years in a management role.
- CPHR or SHRM-CP designation a plus.
- Strong knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights and WorkSafe legislation, as well as human resources management fundamentals.
- Experience working in hospitality or food & beverage operations is preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize and work successfully both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand operational priorities and align HR recommendations with business needs.
- Ability to build credible, collaborative relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Technologically savvy, with high proficiency in all Microsoft Office and HRIS programs.

Pay: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
