We are looking for ONE general labourer to join Agnes Creek. Ideal candidate will be Secondary School graduate with some experience working with machinery, power tools and understanding of safe work procedures.
Strong work ethic, punctual and ability to focus should be your strengths. Safety is our highest priority. We provide safe and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will bring a positive growth-mindset to work every day & must have their own transportation.
This is a full-time position producing quality wood products for local customers. High volume, but not high stress. We've been doing this for over 25 years, and are looking for a level headed person who is eager to learn the processes, gain some skill and offer feedback to help us continuously improve.
We value someone who can take direction, but also someone who can take initiative. Safety is our first priority, production comes when people with a strong work ethic communicate well together. Abusive language and treatment of co-workers will not be tolerated. You will be joining a seasoned team of adults, they will be your mentors not your babysitters.
This is not just a button pushing production line. Your day will be varied. We plan our work and work our plan, but we are flexible, and troubleshoot when problems occur. Our Machines and processes are unique and will take some time to master. Working at Agnes Creek will be an opportunity to learn new skills, such as maintenance and repair. Mechanical aptitude is required.
Start early, leave early; 6 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday. If you accept this position you will be prepared to work 4x10 hrs/day without overtime.
Experience working a loader, skid steer is valued but not required. If you have a forklift operator certificate please provide with resume. This job is NOT a light-duty position. Heavy lifting and working (mostly inside) and outside is the norm. A valid drivers license will be required. Successful applicant must provide own CSA approved Footwear. Other PPE including coveralls will be provided.
