Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Foreman to oversee and coordinate watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and manhole installation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily site operations, supervising crews, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, and maintaining project schedules and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate field crews performing watermain, sewer, and manhole installations.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and municipal standards.
- Plan daily activities and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials effectively.
- Conduct site safety meetings and enforce all health and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and utility companies.
- Monitor project progress and identify solutions to maintain schedules and productivity.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, grade sheets, and utility plans.
- Ensure proper installation, alignment, bedding, and testing of underground infrastructure.
- Complete daily reports, timesheets, and project documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Foreman or Lead Hand in underground municipal construction.
- Extensive experience with watermain, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and manhole installations.
- Strong understanding of municipal construction standards and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grade information.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Experience operating construction equipment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
